Brief
Sony Music requires an animated looping video lasting around 15 seconds to launch an artist’s pre-order campaign online.
We require an animated video to launch the pre-order campaign for the new album from one of our artists, Nothing But Thieves.
We want this to look slick and cool, with some clever animations to really catch the eye of people online.
The above GIF’s were supplied as a visual reference point along with the album & Single artwork, design assets & audio.
Concept
A sound reactive spline rig developed in Cinema4D.
Utilising the C4D Sound Effector mixed with the displacer effector, various dynamic spline rigs were created. Using the waveform from the NBT track ‘Trip Switch’ to drive the animation.
This gave Sony a number of options to supply to the band to choose from and develop into the final promo.
