Creative minds from across the globe are invited to reinterpret these tracks, producing 700 one-of-a-kind sleeve designs.

All 700 sleeves are showcased at a free exhibition before being auctioned off in support of War Child. The twist? Both artists and musicians remain anonymous until buyers have parted with their cash.

Warsong – The Cure (2024)

This artwork was created for Secret 7″ 2025, interpreting “Warsong” from The Cure’s fourteenth studio album Songs of a Lost World (2024) – their first release in 16 years.

The piece features stacked boulders bound with rope, bathed in red light within a gallery space. The composition responds to Robert Smith’s exploration of humanity’s cyclical nature of conflict and regret – how we remain trapped in destructive patterns despite our desire for peace.

The precarious stack of boulders represents the crushing weight of perpetual struggle, while the rope binding them together symbolizes the inescapable ties that hold us in these cycles. The red illumination evokes the intensity and heat of anger, pain, and the burning emotions that drive conflict on both personal and societal scales. The instability of the structure reflects the fragility of peace and how easily our attempts at stability can topple back into battle.

Concept Development

The ropes binding the rocks together was key part of the concept, and the main technical challenge of the 3D setup. 3D rock scans from Poliigon were bound together with dynamic splines in Cinema4D, textured with customised GSG Paracord materials collection. Red and orange Redshift Area lights cast flame like illumination.
