A studio project with a focus on 3D modelling & texturing the Teenage Engineering OP-XY performance synth / sequencer.
Working from technical drawings & reference images to create a true to scale 3D replication of Teenage Engineering’s legendary design.
C4D & Redshift.
Texturing & lighting with Redshift using a mix of custom materials & GSG Tech Product material collections.
The biggest technical challenge were the buttons, using a combination of C4D’s new Boolean, Bevel & Remesh tools I was able to achieve a clean mesh with perfect UV mapping.
